On June 1, 2026, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen attended the TESDA Dressmaking Training Culmination Program. Deputy Mayor Bae Sheirelle Uy Anino,Gabriel F. Nakan, City Councilor Trisha Ann J. Villafuerte, as well as delegates from relevant barangays and government departments, were present at the event.

In her remarks, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen stated that she was delighted to witness that the sewing machines donated by the Chinese Consulate General in Davao years ago were brought to life by the skilled hands of the participants. She expressed the hope that the participants will pass down this skill, encouraging women around them to learn and thrive, and making diligence and perseverance become the most beautiful features of their tribes.
