On May 29, 2026, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director-General of the Protocol Department of the Foreign Ministry Hong Lei accepted respectively the copies of credentials presented by newly-appointed Ambassador of Nigeria to China Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, and newly-appointed Ambassador of South Africa to China Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba, who arrived in China on May 23 and May 27 respectively.
